Are You a Candidate?
In order to receive implant supported dentures, you must be healthy enough to undergo oral surgery. You should also have good oral health and be free from periodontal disease. Any underlying conditions will have to be addressed prior to implant placement.
In order to qualify for traditional dental implants, you must also have enough healthy bone to support the posts. If your jawbone has degenerated as a result of tooth loss, you may require a preliminary bone graft to restore your candidacy. Though a dental bone graft will extend your treatment timeline by several months, it can rebuild your jawbone and provide a strong foundation for your new implants.
What to Expect
Before receiving your restorations, you must first undergo dental implant surgery. We offer nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation to keep you comfortable throughout the procedure. Over the following three to six months, the implant posts will fuse with your jawbone to become a permanent part of your anatomy.
