Dentures
Drs. Martin and Derek Farnsworth of Las Sendas Dental Health in Mesa, AZ, offer many high-quality denture options to restore your smile.
How can our skilled family dentists give you a terrific smile and improve your oral health with customized dentures?
Six Major Benefits of Dentures
Better Diet
When dentures replace missing teeth, you can once again eat crunchy nutritious foods like raw veggies, nuts, and fruit without discomfort.
Improved Jaw Health
Missing teeth can cause jawbone shrinkage, tooth loss, and shifting teeth. If you receive implant-supported dentures, the implants will help encourage bone growth.
Improved Appearance
Your face can look shrunken and aged when more than one tooth is missing. Dentures can give your face a fuller, more youthful appearance.
Complete Your Smile
One obvious benefit of our incredibly lifelike dentures is that they fill the gaps in your smile. You can show off those pearly whites again!
Boosted Confidence
A complete, healthy smile can easily boost your self-esteem in business and social situations.
Affordability
Traditional dentures are often the most affordable dentistry treatment available to address widespread tooth loss, with a lower cost than bridges or dental implants.

View on GoogleWhich Kind of Dentures Should I Get?
There are several types of dentures available at our Mesa, AZ, practice. The treatment your dentist recommends for you will depend on a number of factors, including cost, personal preferences, and your unique oral health needs. Attending regular checkups at our Mesa practice will help us make sure your dentures continue to fit and function properly.
Your High-Quality Denture Options
Traditional Complete Dentures
Traditional dentures replace entire arches of missing teeth. Fitting snugly against the jawbone ridge and your gums, traditional dentures are secured in place with a special dental adhesive. These dentures can be crafted from a variety of advanced materials that mimic the appearance of natural teeth. Our practice works with a local lab that hand-finishes dentures for high-quality, lifelike results.
Partial Dentures
Partial dentures are often recommended for patients who are missing multiple teeth in a dental arch. Similar to full dentures, partial dentures are supported by the jawbone ridge and rest on a base colored to match your gums. Partials use special dental clasps that connect to adjacent teeth for additional security. Like our full dentures, our partial dentures are made using a variety of advanced materials, including acrylic and Valplast®.
Immediate Dentures
These short-term restorations can be worn after tooth extraction so you can smile and have normal oral function while your gum tissue heals. Also known as temporary dentures, immediate dentures are worn while your permanent dentures are crafted by our trusted lab.
Implant-Supported Dentures
Our dentists will suggest implant-supported dentures to patients seeking superior denture stability. Unlike traditional dentures, these restorations are connected to dental implants surgically placed in your jawbone. Because the implants act as artificial tooth roots, implant-supported dentures are the restoration option that most closely mimics healthy, natural teeth.
Want to speak with one of our dentists about the pros and cons of each of these denture options? We're happy to work with you to find the right treatment for your unique needs.
Dentures Attached to Implants An Amazing Before and After Story
"They are absolutely phenomenal!" More Excellent Reviews for Our Team in Mesa

View on GoogleImplant-Supported Dentures Compared With Traditional Dentures
Implant-supported dentures can cost more than traditional ones, and require surgery to anchor the implants into your jaw. But because implant-supported dentures offer many advantages over regular dentures, they are often recommended as the best treatment option. The advantages of implant-supported dentures include:
- Traditional dentures can shift or slip off your gums when eating or speaking. Implant-supported dentures stay put.
- No gooey adhesives are needed to keep implant-supported dentures in place. They are connected directly to your implants.
- Removing and soaking dentures overnight is not needed with implant-supported dentures. Just brush and floss normally.
- Traditional dentures do not encourage healthy jawbone growth where teeth are missing. Implant-supported dentures do.
- The implants themselves can last a lifetime with proper oral hygiene, while the dentures can last up to 20 years. Traditional full and partial dentures last an average of seven to 10 years.
A Look at the Dental Implant Procedure
Unlike many practices, we are able to perform the entire dental implant process from start to finish. Our practice offers safe, gentle sedation options such as nitrous oxide (laughing gas) or oral conscious sedation (a sedative pill) to help make your dental implant experience as stress-free and painless as possible. During your first surgery, your dentist will place titanium implants in your jawbone. Our 3D cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) scanner will allow your dentist to place your implants precisely and efficiently. The implants will fuse with the bone over the course of several months in a process called osseointegration. Caps called abutments will then be added to the implants. Once the gum tissue is healed, your dentist will secure beautifully customized dentures in place.
