Orthodontics Made Easy The Benefits of Invisalign

Minimal Detection

Invisalign® is a fantastic option for teens and adults alike who don't want to change the way they look during treatment. With clear aligners, you can smile, laugh, and speak knowing others are looking at you and not distracting braces and metal wires.

Total Freedom

Invisalign aligners are removable, giving you a level of freedom not possible with braces. Simply remove your aligners before brushing, flossing, and eating meals, and enjoy the same diet and level of oral hygiene as you did before treatment.

Maximum Comfort

While braces protrude from the teeth, causing irritation to your cheeks, lips, and tongue, aligners rest smoothly over the dental arches. Invisalign is made from an advanced material called SmartTrack®, which is both flexible and durable for maximum comfort and effectiveness.

Stunning Results

Invisalign treatment is custom-designed to address a variety of dental issues, including misalignment, overbites, underbites, and gapped teeth. In some cases, clear aligners can provide the same stunning results as traditional braces in a shorter amount of time.

What Is Invisalign?

The Invisalign orthodontic system is designed to correctly position your teeth and bite with a series of clear removable trays. You will wear each aligner for a few weeks, and then switch it out for the next in the series until treatment is complete. While the timeline varies from patient to patient, Invisalign orthodontic treatment usually lasts between 12 and 18 months.

For the right candidate, Invisalign can provide the same functional benefits as traditional braces.

Am I a Good Candidate?

The best candidates have mild to moderate dental misalignment and otherwise healthy teeth and gums. Patients with severe cases might do better with traditional braces. Remember, Invisalign only works if you actually wear your clear aligners, so it is not recommended for forgetful individuals. However, we do offer a version of the treatment that comes with a use tracker to help with accountability.

Invisalign Treatment Steps

Take a look at what you can expect during your orthodontic treatment at our Mesa, AZ, dental practice.
With proper maintenance, the results of treatment are essentially permanent.
With proper maintenance, the results of treatment are essentially permanent.

During your free initial consultation, our dentists will assess your oral health and identify the orthodontic concerns in your smile. We will discuss your goals and treatment options to help you determine the Invisalign system right for you.

Next, we carefully plan your treatment using precise intraoral photos and digital impressions of your mouth. The scans are sent to the Invisalign lab, where technicians assess the level of misalignment and determine the estimated length of treatment. The lab will also create digital mock-ups of the results for you to preview.

If you are satisfied with the mock-up, we will order your set of custom-made aligners. Wear each aligner in the series for about two weeks for a minimum of 20 to 22 hours a day (taking them off to eat, brush, and floss). We ask that you visit our office every six weeks so we can monitor your progress and make adjustments if necessary.

Each aligner is carefully designed to put strategic pressure on your teeth. While may experience some mild discomfort with the placement of each new aligner, the majority of treatment should be relatively pain-free. Over several months, your teeth will gradually shift into the proper position until optimal alignment is achieved.

When you have completed the series, you will no longer need to wear your aligners during the day. However, we recommend wearing a retainer (or the last aligner in the set) overnight to prevent your teeth from moving. With proper maintenance, the results of treatment are essentially permanent.

I am so pleased with Las Sendas Dental Health. They are so thorough and do excellent work. The dentists are very careful and gentle. 6 months ago I had 2 fillings replaced and never felt any discomfort during the process. They did a great job of shaping the fillings to fit perfectly so I really felt no difference with my bite. Today I went in for my 6 month cleaning and the hygienist was excellent. I feel confident that I have a dentist I can rely on to do the best quality work and not feel nervous to go to. I highly recommend them.

The staff and doctors are the best at Las Sendas. They are always so kind, careful, accommodating and keep to a schedule. My hygienist was wonderful, she made me feel comfortable and I’m not a huge fan of dental cleanings. The doctor identified a couple of issues to watch and I know I’m in good hands. Thank you to the whole office for being so outstanding!
